Problem

With the development of economy, technology and internationalization, as well as the gradual popularity of online shopping in recent years, the ensuring trans-regional production, transportation, product security and identification has spread across all walks of life, such as fashion and FMCG, luxury goods, cultural artwork, food, pharmaceuticals, etc. The corresponding anti-counterfeiting methods are endless. However, it seems that many companies on the market use technologies mostly in symptoms (mainly relying on additional technologies to increase anti-counterfeiting marks on products) rather than the root cause, and fake goods have always emerged endlessly. According to the current statistics, counterfeit goods account for 2% to 5% of the world’s total trade each year. It was about 172.33 billion US dollars in 2015 and 242.86 billion in 2017, and it will reach an annual growth rate of 12% in the forecasted period of 2021 to 2028. On the other hand, studies show that companies in the UK have spent more than 154 million pounds on product verification, yet according to the existing microscopic instrument analysis in the market, no device can currently achieve repeat positioning that ensures accuracy in identifying specific materials.

TARGET

Based on the growth of international trade and the current situation of the anti-counterfeiting industry, Yang Technology Ltd put forward a new idea that tries to observe and record the characteristics of basic materials that constitute a product at a microscopic level instead of additional anti-counterfeiting methods. Moreover, the repeated positioning can observe the same feature points of the object many times to compare the consistency of the product. And the concept of distinguishing authenticity through repeated observation based on the material characteristics of the individual product has never been explored before. Therefore, our proposition is an innovative device that would provide an easy and efficient way quickly separate the real from the fake.
